The birth of a New Era- The Ungrateful Sin

Why were we born? What is the purpose of this life? What is life?

These are few questions that run in everyone’s mind. Some say, “Leave it on Fate”, others say “They are not perturbed about it.” Some say “Time turns the tide, so we go with the flow”, and the others, like me, “BELIEVE IN DEVISING THEIR OWN FUTURE!” It’s true. I believe that I can write my own future. But, so long, how much have I wrought?

Success depends on certain things like -

1.       What’s the outcome of what you’ve learned!

2.       How you put together your experiences from different feats and fiascos.

3.       What you believe in and what you don’t.

4.       How well you manage yourself in front of the world.

5.       What are your influences!

These are few important things we need to remember in having a successful life. I didn’t say happy! Then what is happiness? How do you find it? How do you preserve it? What happens when we surfeit with exhilaration? What happens when we see others being so happy, when we can’t achieve it! What is the true meaning of the pursuit of happiness?!  

Can anyone answer this? Can anyone make a map to reach this treasure called happiness? Can anyone lock it in their safe and have the keys with them eternally? Or is it like ornaments that you can wear around your neck and show everyone?

Are you a rational man? If so… can you survive being one? Would people let you be rational or would they take you for granted? No.. you can’t live like that in this NEW ERA OF UNGRATEFUL SINS… YOU’D BE BETRAYED, BROKEN, LEFT UNSPOKEN, DECIMATED, STAMPED ON, SABOTASHED! You can’t live a rational man’s life.

Just like the uncharted water waits for someone, this life waits for someone. We all depend on someone for something or the other.  One life depends on the other. But how many do understand this fact? In this era, everyone has learnt to be independent! Are we really? Is it true, that mankind has become so strong from the inside that nothing fazes them anymore! They do not seem to rely on someone’s guidance or help. They feel that, THEY CAN DO EVERYTHING ON THEIR OWN! But, that’s over estimating one’s own abilities. However great you’re, you’re surely to fall on your knees, and plea for succor.

They say, “Being independent makes you strong!” that’s not called being strong. That’s just being plain COLD HEARTED! You don’t feel anything anymore. No emotion seems to affect you! You’re nothing more than a stone!

This might be insulting for few people. But what of others, who want someone to be there with them, to support them, to guide them, to train them and teach them? They end up finding the erroneous person and mar themselves to an extent that they can’t convalesce.

According to WHO statistics, one person commits suicide every 40 seconds. Suicide rates all over the world have increased by 5- 62% in the last two decades. Hardly any country is immune to this disease. What’s disturbing is that more young people are killing themselves than ever before.

Is one of your loved one a patient of this malady? Do you know why? Did you get a chance to ask why? No one tries to understand when a person goes through a hard time. All they have to say is,” Get over it, move on.” Are these truly the right couches to use when someone’s agonizing? Or are we so outta words that we can’t seem to express ourselves, or is it just that we can’t care about others problems anymore coz we’re SELFISH and we need to think about our well-being?

If a person sulks over something, it’s not the right thing to say,” Move on dude, Shit happens!” That’s not what they want to hear. Whether you like it or not, if you’re close to that person, talk to them about the thing that hurts them. Listen to what they have to say. If you can’t, then don’t try to pretend to be close to them coz that’s what you’re doing. By telling them such silly phrases, you’re just hurting them more and making them burry their pain deep inside their heart, which could be perilous to them and the ones with them, later! All you’re doing is, creating another beast; I think that this world’s filled with enough of them.

Practical-ism is the new genre in everyone’s mind! But isn’t being practical also same as being selfish. ‘Coz you do not want to get involved in anything emotional. You do not wish to have the heart to truly understand someone’s feelings.

This is the NEW ERA. An era in which the world isn’t contingent on sentiments. Their conscience isn’t cognizant. Where a man can’t get any emotional support from the ones he loves. No one cares for anyone. No one lives for someone! This is the happy world we’ve all been talking and waiting for. Being born in this new era is the UNGRATEFUL SIN. It’s better to be cursed not to be born, then to live in this sinful reality!
